Cleaner Belsize Park Service Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions set out the basis on which Cleaner Belsize Park provides cleaning services to clients. By booking or receiving any service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before placing a booking.

1. Definitions

In these Terms and Conditions, the following expressions have the meanings set out below:

Client means any person, firm or company who requests or receives services from Cleaner Belsize Park, whether on a one-off or recurring basis.

Company means Cleaner Belsize Park, the provider of cleaning services.

Services means residential or commercial cleaning services and any related services agreed in writing between the Client and the Company.

Cleaner means a person or team assigned by the Company to carry out the Services.

Premises means the property or properties where the Services are to be carried out.

2. Scope of Services

The Company provides general cleaning services, including regular domestic cleaning, deep cleaning, end of tenancy cleaning, post-renovation cleaning and other related services as may be agreed with the Client. Specific tasks, priorities and areas to be cleaned will be confirmed during the booking process.

The Company may refuse to perform services that are unsafe, illegal, require specialist equipment not agreed in advance, or fall outside the Companys normal scope of work, such as heavy lifting, work at excessive height or handling hazardous substances not disclosed during booking.

3. Service Area

The Company primarily operates within Belsize Park and surrounding neighbourhoods in London. Acceptance of bookings is subject to availability of Cleaners in the relevant area and the practicality of travel to and from the Premises at the requested times.

The Company may decline or amend bookings where location, access or travel time makes provision of Services impractical or uneconomical. Any such decision rests solely with the Company.

4. Booking Process

4.1 Booking requests

Clients may request Services by submitting details of the Premises, preferred dates and times, required duration, and nature of the cleaning required. The Company may ask additional questions to assess the scope of work and suitability of the booking.

4.2 Confirmation

A booking is only confirmed when the Company explicitly accepts the booking and provides confirmation of the date, time, duration, price, and any special conditions. Provisional quotes or availability indications do not constitute a binding agreement.

4.3 Information provided by the Client

The Client is responsible for ensuring that all information provided during the booking process is accurate and complete, including access instructions, parking availability, property size, condition and any special requirements. The Company reserves the right to adjust the price or duration of the Services if the information provided proves to be inaccurate or incomplete.

4.4 Recurring bookings

Where recurring cleaning is requested, the Company will agree a regular schedule with the Client. Recurring appointments are subject to ongoing availability and may be adjusted by mutual agreement. The Client may cancel or amend recurring bookings in accordance with the cancellation provisions set out below.

5. Access to the Premises

The Client must ensure that the Cleaner has safe and timely access to the Premises at the agreed start time. This may include arranging for someone to be present to let the Cleaner in, providing keys, key safe codes or other agreed access arrangements.

The Client is responsible for the security of any keys or access codes entrusted to the Company and must notify the Company promptly of any change in access arrangements. The Company accepts no liability for failure to carry out the Services where access to the Premises has not been properly arranged or where access is delayed or refused.

6. Client Responsibilities

The Client must ensure that the Premises are reasonably tidy and accessible so that the Cleaner can perform the Services safely and efficiently. Fragile or valuable items should be secured, and any known risks or hazards must be disclosed in advance.

The Client is responsible for providing basic utilities at the Premises, including running water, electricity and adequate lighting. Where agreed in advance, the Client may be required to provide specific cleaning products or equipment. If the Cleaner is unable to perform the Services due to lack of utilities or essential items, the visit may be treated as a late cancellation.

7. Prices and Quotations

Prices for Services will be communicated to the Client during the booking process and confirmed at the time of booking. Quotations are based on the information provided by the Client regarding the Premises, the type of service requested and the anticipated duration.

The Company reserves the right to revise the quoted price if the actual condition, size or requirements of the Premises differ materially from those described by the Client, or where additional tasks are requested on the day. Any adjustments will be discussed with the Client as soon as reasonably practicable.

8. Payments

8.1 Payment methods

The Company accepts payment by standard UK methods as specified during the booking process. Full payment is required in accordance with the terms communicated to the Client at the time of booking, which may include payment in advance or on completion of the service.

8.2 Payment terms

If payment is due after the service, invoices must be settled within the time period specified on the invoice. The Company reserves the right to charge interest or late payment fees in accordance with applicable UK law for overdue amounts.

8.3 Non-payment

Failure to pay any sums due may result in suspension or cancellation of current and future bookings. The Company may take steps to recover outstanding amounts, including engaging debt recovery services where necessary.

9. Cancellations and Amendments

9.1 Client cancellations

The Client may cancel or amend a booking by providing notice to the Company. The Company may specify a minimum notice period for cancellations or changes, typically at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time, or another period advised at the time of booking.

Where the Client fails to give the required notice, the Company may charge a late cancellation fee up to the full value of the scheduled service to cover lost Cleaner time and associated costs.

9.2 Company cancellations

In the event that the Company must cancel or reschedule a booking due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, such as staff illness, transport disruption or extreme weather, the Company will notify the Client as soon as reasonably practicable and offer an alternative appointment. The Company will not be liable for any consequential loss arising from such cancellations or rescheduling.

9.3 Missed appointments and access issues

If the Cleaner is unable to access the Premises or commence work due to the Client, including where no one is present to provide access, keys do not work, entry is refused or the Premises are unsafe, the visit may be treated as a late cancellation and a fee may be charged.

10. Quality of Service and Complaints

The Company aims to provide services with reasonable care and skill. If the Client is dissatisfied with any aspect of the Services, the Client should notify the Company as soon as possible, ideally within 24 hours of the service.

Complaints will be investigated and, where the Company is responsible, reasonable steps will be taken to address the issue, which may include a partial re-clean of affected areas or another appropriate remedy, at the Companys discretion. The extent of any remedy will be proportionate to the nature of the issue and the price paid for the relevant service.

11. Liability and Insurance

11.1 General liability

The Company will exercise reasonable care while providing the Services. However, the Companys total liability for any loss or damage arising out of or in connection with the Services, whether in contract, tort or otherwise, shall be limited to the value of the specific service during which the incident occurred, except where such limitation is not permitted by law.

11.2 Exclusions

The Company will not be liable for:

Normal wear and tear, or deterioration of items due to age, condition or pre-existing damage.

Damage arising from defects in the Premises, fixtures, fittings or equipment.

Loss of cash, jewellery or other valuables that have not been properly secured, or that are left in open or obvious places.

Incidents arising from the instructions of the Client where the Company has advised that the instruction is unsafe or unsuitable.

Any indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit, loss of enjoyment or business interruption.

11.3 Insurance

The Company maintains appropriate insurance cover in line with UK industry practice. Details of cover may be provided on request. The Client must notify the Company promptly of any incident that may give rise to a claim and cooperate fully in any investigation.

12. Breakages and Damage

The Client must report any alleged damage or breakage caused by a Cleaner to the Company as soon as reasonably possible, and in any event within 48 hours of the service. The Company may require evidence such as photographs and may arrange an inspection.

Where the Company accepts responsibility, it may offer repair, replacement or reasonable compensation, taking into account the age, condition and value of the item, and subject to the limitations of liability set out in these Terms and Conditions.

13. Health, Safety and Conduct

The Company is committed to maintaining safe working practices and a respectful environment for both Clients and Cleaners. The Client must not request tasks that would breach health and safety regulations or put the Cleaner at unreasonable risk.

The Company reserves the right to withdraw Services immediately where a Cleaner experiences abusive, threatening or inappropriate behaviour, or encounters unsafe conditions. In such cases, the visit may be treated as a late cancellation and fees may still apply.

14. Waste Regulations and Disposal

The Company complies with applicable UK waste regulations. Standard household and light commercial waste generated during cleaning, such as dust, packaging from cleaning products and minor rubbish from bins, will be collected and placed in the Clients designated waste or recycling containers at the Premises.

The Client is responsible for providing suitable bins and for arranging collection or disposal of waste in accordance with local authority requirements. The Company does not normally remove waste from the Premises or transport it off site. Removal of larger quantities of waste, bulky items, construction debris, hazardous materials or electrical items is not included in standard Services and may require specialist licensed waste carriers.

The Client must not request the Cleaner to dispose of waste in contravention of UK law or local waste regulations. The Company accepts no liability for penalties or charges arising from the Clients failure to comply with applicable waste and recycling rules.

15. Privacy and Data Protection

The Company processes personal data in accordance with applicable UK data protection legislation. Information provided by the Client is used for managing bookings, providing Services, handling payments and customer service, and complying with legal obligations.

The Company will take reasonable steps to protect the confidentiality and security of Client information and will not sell or disclose personal data to third parties except where required to provide the Services, process payments, or comply with legal or regulatory obligations.

16. Force Majeure

The Company shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform its obligations where such delay or failure is due to events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, extreme weather, transport disruptions, strikes, pandemics, government restrictions, or failure of utilities or communication networks.

17. Variation of Terms

The Company may amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Updated terms will be made available to Clients and will apply to new bookings from the date of publication. For ongoing recurring services, the Company will provide reasonable notice of any material changes.

18. Severability

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court or other competent authority, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

19. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or with the Services, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

The parties agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions or the provision of Services.

20. Entire Agreement

These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between the Client and the Company in relation to the provision of Services and supersede any prior discussions, correspondence, or understandings between the parties, whether written or oral.

By placing a booking or receiving Services from the Company, the Client acknowledges that they have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
