Terms and Conditions for Cleaner Belsizepark
These Terms and Conditions set out the basis on which Cleaner Belsizepark provides domestic and related cleaning services in the UK. By making a booking, confirming an appointment, or allowing a cleaner to attend your property, you agree to these terms. They are intended to clarify how bookings are arranged, how payments are handled, when cancellations apply, what responsibilities sit with the customer, and how service limitations and legal requirements are managed.
Cleaner Belsizepark aims to provide a reliable and professional service. However, all services are subject to availability, the condition of the property, access arrangements, and the accuracy of information provided at the time of booking. These terms should be read carefully before any appointment is confirmed. If any part of these terms is unclear, the customer should raise it before the service begins so that expectations can be aligned.
These terms apply to one-off cleans, regular cleaning arrangements, end-of-tenancy cleaning, deep cleaning, and similar domestic services supplied by Cleaner Belsizepark. They do not create any guarantee of a specific result beyond reasonable skill and care. Any special requests, add-ons, or variations must be agreed in advance and may affect the price, duration, or staffing required for the job.
Booking Process
Bookings are normally made by providing details of the required service, property type, preferred date, and any relevant instructions. A booking is only confirmed when Cleaner Belsizepark has accepted it and issued confirmation, whether verbally, in writing, or by electronic means. The customer is responsible for ensuring that all information supplied is accurate and complete. This includes the size of the property, the type of cleaning required, whether parking or access restrictions apply, and whether there are fragile surfaces, pets, or known hazards.
If an estimate is provided before booking, it will usually be based on the information supplied by the customer. Should the actual condition of the premises differ materially from that information, Cleaner Belsizepark may revise the quote, the duration of the appointment, or the scope of work. In some cases, the cleaner may decline to begin or continue the service if the property is unsafe, if the task is materially different from what was described, or if the customer requests work outside the agreed scope.
Appointments, Access, and Customer Obligations
Customers must ensure that access to the property is available at the agreed time. If the cleaner is unable to enter, is turned away, or is delayed due to inaccurate instructions or lack of access, the visit may still be chargeable. Customers should also remove or secure valuables, sensitive documents, and items that are fragile or difficult to replace. Cleaner Belsizepark does not accept responsibility for handling personal possessions unless this is explicitly agreed as part of the service.
The customer must provide a working environment that is reasonably safe and suitable for cleaning. This includes notifying the company of any known risks such as exposed wiring, loose flooring, mould, hazardous substances, severe contamination, aggressive animals, or structural issues. If there is a risk to health and safety, the cleaner may suspend the service until the issue has been addressed. Any resulting delay or incomplete service may still be chargeable if the issue arose from conditions beyond the cleaner’s control.
Where keys, codes, or entry instructions are supplied, the customer confirms that they are authorised to provide them. Cleaner Belsizepark will take reasonable care of keys or access devices entrusted to it, but the customer remains responsible for maintaining secure arrangements and changing access information if needed. If the customer asks for the cleaner to leave the premises unattended after entry, that request must be made clearly and will be followed only if it is reasonable and safe to do so.
Payments and Charges
Prices may be quoted as hourly rates, fixed fees, or job-based charges depending on the service requested. Unless stated otherwise, all prices are in pounds sterling and may be subject to VAT where applicable. The customer agrees to pay the amount confirmed at booking, together with any properly notified extras arising from additional work, extended time on site, or special materials requested by the customer.
Payment terms may vary by service type. Some appointments may require advance payment, a deposit, or payment on completion. For recurring cleaning, Cleaner Belsizepark may operate a regular billing schedule. If payment is not made on time, the company reserves the right to suspend future appointments, charge reasonable recovery costs where permitted by law, and decline to continue services until outstanding amounts are settled.
The customer is responsible for all bank charges, failed payment fees from their own provider, and any administrative costs caused by incorrect payment details. Where a payment has been authorised but later reversed, cancelled, or charged back without valid reason, the company may treat this as a breach of contract and seek recovery of the sum due, along with any associated losses incurred in connection with the service.
Cancellations, Rescheduling, and No-Shows
Customers may cancel or reschedule appointments, but notice should be given as early as possible. If sufficient notice is not provided, a cancellation fee may apply. The exact amount may depend on the notice period, the length of the appointment, and whether the cleaner has already travelled to the property or reserved time specifically for the booking. Cleaner Belsizepark will act reasonably when applying cancellation charges.
If the customer is not present at the agreed time, cannot provide access, or otherwise prevents the service from proceeding, the appointment may be treated as a late cancellation or no-show and may be charged in full or in part. Where the company must cancel due to illness, unsafe conditions, severe disruption, or other genuine operational issues, it will use reasonable efforts to offer an alternative date. The company will not be liable for consequential losses arising from such a cancellation unless required by law.
Any rescheduled appointment remains subject to availability. If the customer repeatedly changes bookings at short notice, Cleaner Belsizepark may require advance payment for future visits or decline further work. This helps protect scheduling fairness and ensures that resources are allocated efficiently for all customers.
Service Standards and Limitations of Liability
Cleaner Belsizepark will provide services with reasonable skill and care, consistent with the nature of domestic cleaning work. However, cleaning results can vary depending on the condition of the property, the age and condition of surfaces, prior maintenance, and the products or equipment available. The company does not guarantee restoration of items to a like-new condition, removal of permanent staining, or successful cleaning where damage or wear already exists.
The company is not responsible for damage caused by pre-existing defects, unsuitable materials, hidden faults, or fragile items that are inherently delicate. Customers should inform the cleaner about any surfaces that require special treatment or any products that must not be used. If the customer fails to provide such information, the company will not be liable for resulting loss or damage except where caused by negligence that cannot be excluded under UK law.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cleaner Belsizepark excludes liability for indirect or consequential losses, loss of profit, loss of opportunity, loss of goodwill, or other economic losses arising from the provision or non-provision of services. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded.
Waste Regulations, Materials, and Disposal
Where cleaning work creates waste or involves the removal of rubbish, the customer must ensure that disposal arrangements comply with applicable UK waste regulations. Cleaner Belsizepark will not remove hazardous waste, clinical waste, asbestos, chemicals requiring specialist handling, or any materials that require licensed disposal unless this has been expressly agreed and lawful arrangements are in place. The customer remains responsible for declaring any waste requiring special treatment.
Ordinary household waste generated during a cleaning service may be bagged and placed in the customer’s designated refuse storage area if requested and if this is permitted by local rules and site conditions. The company does not act as a waste carrier unless specifically stated in writing. If waste removal is included, the customer may need to confirm ownership of the items and that no restricted materials are present. Any items left for disposal should not contain sharp objects, biohazards, or other dangerous materials unless appropriate arrangements have been made in advance.
If the cleaner identifies waste that appears to be improperly stored, illegal, contaminated, or unsafe to handle, they may refuse to move it and may notify the customer that specialist collection is required. The customer agrees not to request unlawful disposal, fly-tipping, or any action that would breach environmental, public health, or waste management obligations. Cleaner Belsizepark may suspend work immediately if compliance concerns arise.
Complaints, Claims, and Rectification
Any complaint about the service should be raised as soon as reasonably possible after the visit and in any event within a reasonable time. The company may request photographs, descriptions, or other information to assess the issue. Where appropriate, Cleaner Belsizepark may offer a re-clean or another practical remedy instead of a refund, provided the complaint is genuine and the issue can reasonably be addressed.
Claims for loss or damage must be supported by evidence and reported promptly. The customer must take reasonable steps to reduce any further loss once an issue has been identified. The company will not be liable for damage unless it is shown to have been caused by its negligence or breach of contract. Where the cleaner follows the customer’s instructions, uses products supplied by the customer, or works on items identified by the customer as suitable for treatment, responsibility may be limited accordingly.
If an investigation shows that a complaint is unfounded or relates to pre-existing damage, wear and tear, or an issue outside the agreed scope, the company may decline to provide compensation. These terms do not affect statutory rights available to consumers under UK law. Any remedy offered is without prejudice to those rights where they apply.
Data, Subcontracting, and Changes to Terms
Any personal data provided for booking and service administration will be used only for legitimate business purposes, such as scheduling, invoicing, communication, and record-keeping, in accordance with applicable data protection law. Cleaner Belsizepark may use trained staff, agency workers, or subcontractors to perform services where necessary. If subcontractors are used, they will be selected with reasonable care and instructed to follow the relevant service requirements.
The company may amend these terms from time to time to reflect legal, operational, or commercial changes. The version in force at the time of booking will normally apply to that booking unless a change is required by law. If any part of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect. No failure by the company to enforce any term shall be treated as a waiver of that term.
Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them, shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer rights provide otherwise. By using the services of Cleaner Belsizepark, the customer accepts that any legal matters will be handled under this jurisdiction.
